Cannabis Town Hall

The Midland Progressives, a local activist organization, are hosting an Educational Cannabis Town Hall at the Grace A. Dow Library in Midland, Michigan on Thursday, Dec 12, 2019, from 6:30-8:30 pm. 

A panel of experts from the cannabis industry will be on hand to answer questions about the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affair's (LARA) new Marijuana Regulatory Agency, which licenses and establishes the new rules for the medical and recreational marijuana markets in Michigan.

The panel will consist of Jerry Spencer from the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws (NORML); Attorney Tom Lavigne from Cannabis Counsel, Detroit; and Trevor Wisniewski and Sarah Foss from Great Lakes Natural Remedies Inc., a medical marijuana growing, processing and dispensing facility located in Spaulding Township, MI.

Other representatives from Michigan's anticipated $1 billion cannabis industry include: Michael Thue from Great Lakes Center for Compassion, Traverse City, and a representative from Solutions By Dr. Dave, an alternative medicine practitioner in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

This community town hall event is FREE and open to the general public.  A MCTV volunteer will be filming this presentation in the library auditorium for future rebroadcast throughout the community.
