The Great Lakes Bay Region chapter of Moms Demand Action (MDA) will host a public meeting at St. John's Episcopal Church, 405 N Saginaw Rd in Midland, Michigan on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 from 7:00-8:30 pm.

This regular monthly MDA meeting is open to the public. Interested attendees should arrive at 6:30 for refreshments, introductions and conversation!  An update on Advocacy Day will also be provided.

Moms Demand Action is a grassroots movement of Americans fighting for public safety measures that can protect people from gun violence.

Our guests in April will be two local candidates running for state office who will share their views for sensible gun legislation.

Current Midland County clerk, Ann Manary, is running as a Republican for the role of state representative in Michigan's new 95th District.

Former Greater Midland CEO and current Bay City Commissioner, Kristen McDonald Rivet, is running as a Democrat in the newly formed 35th state Senate District.

Each year Michigan Moms Demand Action volunteers meet with state lawmakers about priority gun violence prevention policies to keep our communities safer.

Advocacy Day is a great opportunity to make sure legislators know our concerns, to show appreciation for those legislators who already support our work, and to meet and support each other. This year Advocacy Day in Lansing, Michigan was April 12.

A Zoom option for Tuesday's meeting is also being offered for those who would like to participate virtually. Sign up below.
