Access to good quality affordable healthcare is the hallmark of a modern developed civilization.
The Michigan Center for Progressive Public Policy invites you to an evening of discussion about Michigan’s healthcare. The evening will consist of three short talks.
The first looks at where Michigan’s, and indeed the USA’s, healthcare model(s) compare to other healthcare models of the world. The second is from our Key note speaker Megan Foster Friedman, a senior analyst from the Center for Health & Research Transformation who will assess how Michigan has fared under the Affordable Care act. Our final talk will summarize the problems associated with the current healthcare system and put forward various options for improving them. Each talk will be followed by an opportunity to ask questions.
Following the talks, a series of round table discussions will be held on the various points raised in the talks and by the questions the audience have asked. There will also be an opportunity for members of the audience to share their own healthcare experiences hopes and fears with the audience.
This event will be in the Community Room. Snacks and beverages will be provided. We hope to see you there.
