New Voting Rights will be the topic of a Town Hall meeting on Monday, February 3, at 7:00 pm, in the Council Chambers at Midland City Hall, 333 Ellsworth Street. The program is sponsored by the League of Women Voters of the Midland Area.
Speaker Ann Manary, Midland County Clerk, will present information on the New Voting Rights for Michigan Citizens (most of them resulting from passage of Proposal 3 in 2018, with an amendment to the Michigan Constitution). She will discuss expanded opportunities for voter registration including online options, early voting by absentee ballot with no reason needed, and other aspects of the voting process.
The next election in Midland County is the Presidential Primary on March 10.
The presentation and discussion will give voters the opportunity to learn about how the new voter rights will benefit them personally.
This Town Hall is free and open to the public. For more information contact: Kim Steinke, 989-488-2296.
